Whoopi Goldberg took some time before the taping of Monday’s episode of The View to speak to a couple members of the media’s favorite punching bag.
Numerous members of the Proud Boys, showing their support for President Donald Trump were approached by Goldberg in Sarasota, Florida. And what proceeded was a respectable 10 minute conversation about politics.
Between a lot of disagreement, the two sides found common ground on a number of issues, including Marijuana legalization, having respectful conversations with those you disagree with, and not hating eachother.
When asked about the Proud Boys, she stated that she knows about the group, and the negative things said about us, and adds that we’re “all over the place.”
“Here’s the thing that I’ve gotta tell you … when you know how people will just say shit about you, and say this is what they believe and this is who they are, know that the same thing happens to me, so one of the the reasons I wanted to come out, is because I wanted to say ‘hey.'”-Whoopi Goldberg speaking on the Proud Boys
The interaction brought about a solid amount of attention online, including being shared by Chadwick Moore, and being covered by The Gateway Pundit.
